JEE Main 2020 application process: National Testing Agency (NTA) is all set to begin the application process for the Joint Entrance Examination (JEE) Main for admission to undergraduate engineering and architecture colleges across the country. The online application process for JEEMain(I)2020 will begin from next week, September 2, 2019. The NTA will conduct the application process of JEE (Main) 2020 on the official website, the link for which is jeemain.nic.in.

As per the official notification, “The Ministry of Human Resource & Development, Govt. of India vide its O.M. F.No.35-9/2016-TS.III MHRD dated 21st December, 2018 has approved that the selection for Admission of students under Direct Admission of Students ABROAD (DASA-2019) will be through JEE (Main). This may be applicable from the academic year 2021-22 onwards.”

The last date to apply for JEEMain 2020 exam is September 30, 2019. Candidates will be able to download their admit cards from December 6, 2019.

Registration for JEE (Main) 2020: January session

The online registration process will close on September 30 and the admit cards will be available on December 6. Further, the results will be out on January 31.

New changes to JEE Mains

  • The JEE Main will be mandatory for foreign-nationals seeking admissions to NITs, IIITs and other government-funded engineering colleges in India
  • The first session will be held in January and second in April.

Details of JEE Main 2019:

This year, the JEE Main April edition was conducted throughout the country and abroad on April 7, 8, 9, 10 and 12 through the Computer Based Test (CBT) mode.

A total of 9, 29,198 students registered for the JEE Main in January, while 9, 35,741 appeared for the same in April session.

About JEE Mains

JEE(Main)-April 2019 has two papers,Paper-1 (BE /B Tech) and Paper-2 (B.Arch. /B.Planning). Candidates may take Paper-1 (B E /B Tech) or Paper-2 (B Arch /BPlanning.) or both as per the course(s) they are seeking admission to.

JEE Main score is applicable for admission to NITs, IIITs, CFTIs and even private engineering and architecture courses. A cut-off will also be released for the candidates to qualify for JEE Advanced exam which is an entrance gateway for admission to the Indian Institutes of Technology (IITs).
