CBSE Board Exams 2020: Practical exams to be conducted externally? Board sends notices to school

CBSE is planning to conduct practical examination externally. Just like theory papers, the practical examination will be conducted outside the home centres. The Board has issued a notice as well.

Central Board of Secondary Education, CBSE till now had conducted the Board practical examinations at the home centers itself. But now, the Board is planning to conduct the CBSE Board Exams 2020 practical exams at external centers. Just like the theory papers, the practical examinations will also be conducted externally by the Board.

In the notice issued by the Board, any school affiliated with the Board can be made as Board Examination Centre for AISSCE/AISSE theory/practical examination conducted by the Board. As per news report, CBSE is all set to adapt new changes in the marking system of practical examination as well. Students will be issued different admit card for the practical examination which they will have to carry at the time of the exam, exactly like the theory paper exams.

The Board has asked all the affiliated schools to provide the details as mentioned in the enclosed proforma for the conduct of Practical exam 2020 within 10 days. After receiving all the details, the Board will take a suitable decision on it. Students can check the official notice here.

For now, CBSE will soon close down application process for change in subjects for CBSE Board Exams 2020. The application process will close down on July 15, 2019. Students of Class 10 and Class 12 can change their subjects as per the notice issued till the given deadline. After the changes have been registered, schools have been instructed to analyze the request on various parameters and compile a list, which has to be then shared with the board latest by July 21.
