CBSE Class 10, Class 12 Board Exams 2019: The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has started the psychological counselling for students and parents to overcome exam-related stress.

As per reports, the counselling process will continue till April 4.

CBSE Class 10, Class 12 Board Exams 2019: Counselling details

Toll free number: 1800118004 (The service would be available in India and abroad). The services will be available 24X7 is expected to resolve exam-related issues of board exam students.

The 22nd edition of the psychological counselling service, focusing on resolving issues related to exam stress, will end on April 4 and will be available between 8 am to 10 pm on all day.

Tele-counselling

Tele-counselling is offered by trained counsellors and principals from within CBSE affiliated schools located across the world.

It is a voluntary, free of cost service provided by the principals; trained counsellors from CBSE affiliated govt and private schools, psychologists and social scientists.

CBSE introduces Interactive voice response system:

From this year, the CBSE has introduced the facility of Interactive Voice Response System on a toll-free number from where the students/parents/stakeholders can obtain pre-recorded useful information on tackling board exams which includes tips for better preparation, time and stress management, FAQs along with live telecounselling services.

About CBSE counselling

  • The board has roped in a total of 87 counsellors comprising 65 from India, two special educators and 22 from foreign schools
  • Moreover, a comprehensive audio-visual presentation titled ‘Knowing Children Better’ has been prepared and uploaded on the CBSE website, the board said
  • CBSE experts will answer queries of students through weekly question-answer columns to be published in major national newspapers during February and an online counselling will be available at [email protected]
  • CBSE arranges counselling facility for differently-abled students also.

The CBSE counselling is offered twice in the year:

Phase I- Pre Exam, February to April

Phase II- Post Result, May to June

Note: Prior to the annual counselling, feedback and training sessions are conducted regularly with the purpose to enhance the counselling skills of the participants.
