Ignou announces admission to MBA in banking and finance programme

Ignou has announced admissions to its master of business administration programme in banking and finance through the open and distance learning (ODL) mode for the session that will begin in January 2018.

The Indira Gandhi National Open University (Ignou) on Monday announced admissions to its master of business administration programme in banking and finance through the open and distance learning (ODL) mode for the session that will begin in January 2018.

The university said the application form can be downloaded from its website and submitted along with a demand draft of Rs 1000 in addition to the programme fee.

The last date for submission of filled-in forms at the concerned regional centre is December 29 and that to receive the request for supply of student handbook by post is November 30.

The programme, developed jointly by Ignou’s School of Management Studies and the Indian Institute of Banking & Finance (IIBF), Mumbai, is specifically designed for professionals working in banks.

The programme is offered through countrywide network of Ignou’s study centres and uses standard Ignou multi-media design and technology aided delivery systems.

A candidate should be a graduate of not less than three years duration from a recognised university or institution and have been working in the banking or financial services sector for a period of at least two years.

They should have passed the Certified Associate of Indian Institute of Bankers (CAIIB) examinations of the IIBF and awarded the requisite qualification or credentials by the institute.
